What part of the lion are you?

   - Tail. I like to shake my groove thang in public, and not have anyone look at me like I was doing
something they wouldn't expect me to be doing.

If you were a lion, what would they name you?

   - Pham Ngoc Da.i Dit; cause I'm a great butt.

If you can design your own lion, what colors and style would it be?

   - It'd be light blue on black. The internal alliteration of those colors pleases me.

What do you see yourself doing in 10 minutes?

   - In ten minutes I'm going to be busy telling myself that I'm going to start studying/reading in ten more minutes.

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

   - Ten years from now I'll be saving up money to get a midlife crisis car early. A model year 2028 C8 Corvette Z06. And a Corolla on the side for all the time that thing is going to be in the shop.

What interest you in lion dancing?

   - I was once, ten thousand years ago, a mighty warrior that Irvine relied on to protect from evil outsiders but one day, I was jumped by some tall and mystical creatures. Even though I managed to kill a hundred of them, they kept coming at me. Soon, one of them managed to strike me and I realized it was futile and that Westpark would fall. Out of the sky came a great horned creature with a mirror on its head. It landed with a great BOOM and scared off the demons with one roar and to this day, I thank it by being its butt. This happened a long time ago so some details might be exaggerated.

What made you come out for the team?

   - I have another doan lan that I perform with but for one, they perform only up in Westminster. I wanted to bring Vietnamese culture and good fortune and all that to Irvine where I live. And second, in my other group, I'm one of the oldest and probably the heaviest so I only do tail. I thought with Gio Nam I might get a chance to see from.. to actually see while in a lan for once.
