Jimmy has always loved watching lion dance performances with his family growing up, rushing towards the sound of drums at Lunar New Year festivals or events to catch a troupe's performance and watching (and rewatching) VHS tapes of performances. He hopes to help new members break out of their comfort zones or any nervous shell they may have and to encourage them to try new things that they have not even thought about attempting before. Jimmy also staunchly believes that it is important not just to spread awareness of the lion dance performance itself, but also its cultural weight and symbolism as well.
